Who we are

At Olive Cove Counseling and Integrative Care, we provide thoughtful, compassionate care for individuals and families navigating life’s transitions. Rooted in the belief that healing and growth happen in connection—with ourselves, our communities, and our care services—we offer therapy, consulting, and support services that center the whole person.

Our practice specializes in supporting individuals, parents, and families, while also offering specialized consultative services and collaborative opportunities with other professionals. Whether you're seeking the therapeutic support of group counseling, educational support through one of our workshops, or professional collaboration with a behavioral health specialist, Olive Cove offers a place of connection, healing, and comprehensive care.

Our Vision

We believe that no one should walk through life’s challenges alone.

At Olive Cove, our vision is to offer holistic, integrative care that supports mental, physical, emotional, and relational well-being. We aim to surround our clients with not just therapy, but a community of care—providing access to group support, helpful tools, and a network of trusted providers.

By partnering with other healthcare professionals, we create a team-based approach to care that reflects the complexity of real life. Our goal is to help clients build their own toolbox for resilience—nurturing strength, connection, and a renewed sense of peace.

Alexandra DeCosta, LMHC

Founder and Clinical Director

I am a licensed mental health counselor (LMHC) with over 10 years experience working with individuals, parents, children, and families in Rhode Island. I am passionate about supporting my clients through life’s transitional periods, as these transitions also tend to be incredibly formative. As a mom, and former foster mom, I have a personal understanding of the challenges that come with some of life’s most beautiful transitions.

I believe deeply in the mind-body connection, and am committed to providing support that is not just effective, but whole. I take a collaborative, relational approach to care, and I believe in the power of community and connection to create lasting change. Whether I’m facilitating a therapy group, engaging in a consultation, or collaborating with other professionals, my goal is always the same: to help people feel seen, supported, and empowered.
